Calling all positive role models, vessels of creativity, and lovers of adventure! Camp Lakeside is the place to be if you’re looking for the best summer job ever! With year-round camp positions also available, Camp Lakeside has the job for you!

Joining the Camp Lakeside team allows you to have fun while working. That’s right…have fun, get paid! There’s no sweeter deal than that. So grab your shades, because summer has never looked brighter!

Camp Lakeside is seeking applicants for Camp Counselors and Camp Specialists. Camp Lakeside staff training begins May 2024! Please note, all applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Camp Counselor

Let’s make this a memorable summer together! As a Camp Counselor, you supervise and participate in fun activities with our campers of all abilities. This position starts May 2024, and the hours will be Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 3:45 pm, with some shifts of 7-9 am and 3-6 pm.

Camp Specialist

It’s going to be the best summer ever! As a Camp Specialist, you plan, prepare, and facilitate camp activities for our campers of all abilities. Some of our Specialist positions are in the fields of archery, waterfront, music, art, and STEM. This position starts May 2024, and the hours will be Monday-Friday 8:45 am – 3:45 pm, with some shifts of 7-9 am and 3-6 pm.

Year-Round Camp Counselor

As a Year-Round Camp Counselor, you will work all year long during our summer camp and non-summer camp seasons. A Year-Round Camp Counselor is a part-time position that works with youth & adults of all ages and abilities to provide a meaningful experience through activities and recreation.  Responsibilities will include participating in various fun and educational activities while creating a safe, exciting, and supportive environment. Other responsibilities include attending and actively participating in agency meetings and other organizational meetings.

In-kind gifts are a great way to give campers the supplies they need to make the most out of their camp experience. Camp Lakeside greatly appreciates donations of any of the following materials:

  • stickers
  • markers and crayons
  • glue sticks
  • general art supplies
  • craft paper of any kind (construction, copy, scrapbook, etc.)
  • water balloons
  • squirt guns
  • sports balls
  • paper goods (plates, napkins, cups, paper towel)
  • reusable OR single-use water bottles
  • band-aids
  • newspapers and magazines
  • board games and playing cards

 

Looking to volunteer at Camp Lakeside? We would love to have you join in on the fun!

Volunteers can:

Assist in daily camp activities! Do you like to fish? Like to garden? Do you like arts and crafts? Sports? Karaoke? Maybe archery? Or just want to brighten someone’s day? We would love to see you at Camp Lakeside! All volunteers must be at least 16 years old and commit to a schedule of at least one hour weekly.

Welcome Campers! Daily between 8:30-9:30 am when campers arrive for the day, volunteers are needed to greet campers and help them to their clubhouse to start the day. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians of campers to be involved with Camp Lakeside!

Share Lunch together! Campers stop for lunch daily from 11:30 – 12:30! Volunteers are needed to ensure all campers are able to eat their lunch and get refreshed for afternoon activities. Friday’s are pizza days! Extra hands are especially needed to plate and serve campers.

Wrap up the day! From 2:30 until about 3:00 pm, volunteers are needed to assist campers from their clubhouse to their ride home. There could also be a dance party at this time! This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians of campers to be involved with Camp Lakeside!

Camp Lakeside is a division of Opportunity Enterprises (OE) and follows all volunteer policies and requirements of OE. This includes a volunteer application, background check, drug screen and TB test to be completed prior to volunteering.
